Day 1: Blue Nile Falls Exploration & Portuguese Bridge Visit
Your adventure begins with a scenic morning drive from Bahir Dar to the village of Tiss Abay. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk to the impressive Blue Nile Falls, locally known as “Tis Isat,” meaning “Smoke of Fire.” Admire the powerful waterfall, lush surroundings, and dramatic landscapes before visiting the historic Portuguese Bridge, recognized as Ethiopia’s first stone bridge and dating back to the 17th century. Spend the day enjoying the natural beauty and peaceful village atmosphere before your overnight stay in Tiss Abay Village.
Day 2: Blue Nile River Relaxation & Village Market Experience
Start the morning with time to relax by the Blue Nile River or enjoy a refreshing swim in the peaceful surroundings. Later, explore the vibrant local village market where you can interact with community members and experience everyday rural life. Guests may also participate in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony for a deeper cultural experience. In the afternoon, return by road to Bahir Dar.
